Sounding River Mur was an immersive sound installation created for the exhibition River Mur: A Cultural History at the Museum für Geschichte, Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz.
Based on studies and field recordings of the river, as well as its soundscapes and ecosystems along the banks, near bridges, border crossings, and power plants—recorded both on the surface and underwater—the large-scale installation rendered a spatial composition derived from these recordings of the Mur into the exhibition spaces.
